Audience: Geared towards campus leaders such as principals and assistant principals, this session will also benefit those who supervise or coach principals.

Description: Doing the job of an effective principal requires flexibility and acknowledgment of the many different roles that the job entails.  This session explores five distinct roles a principal juggles, often multiple times in the same day. Participants will discover user-friendly ideas that can help all school leaders become more effective in their roles.

Instructional Leadership: Three Questions Principals Should Ask Themselves:

Description: This session is designed for current campus administrators seeking to learn effective practices to enhance the learning and teaching of their campus through professional learning.  Participants will be challenged to explore three distinct yet connected questions: How does an instructional leader impact on the curriculum? How does an instructional leader impact high-quality instruction? How does an instructional leader use data effectively?

Building a Culture of Ambitious Instruction

Audience: Campus Leadership Teams; this one is best done with some teachers in the group

Description: Sometimes, the most difficult step to school improvement is assessing your current reality and being willing to seek answers to questions about your practices.  This session will share ways schools have intentionally worked to create a more rigorous learning culture through such activities as learning walks and data teams to build the collective efficacy of the entire staff.  Great innovation and improvement often come from asking the simplest of questions.

Leading a Culture of Collaborative Inquiry 

Audience:  Principals or Campus Leadership Teams

Description: When we ask good questions about our campus practices, we make better decisions. Campus leadership teams will develop a process that allows instructional teams to dive deeper into their data by asking inquiry-focused questions and seeking the root cause analysis of the outcomes.
